The Rest is Noise in Muziekgebouw: Ben Vince + Coby Sey

The unclassifiable Coby Sey and Ben Vince both are rising stars of London’s underground music scene. Prolific saxophonist and composer Ben Vince already has four albums under his belt, each time diving a little deeper into realms improvisation, sequencing and musical manipulation. The multi-talented Coby Sey has had collaborations with the likes of established experimentalists Mica Levi and Dean Blunt, as wel as newcomers Tirzah and Klein. Sey’s music takes influence from a variety of genres – varying from hip-hop to ambient- resolving into delicately-woven but bold songs and soundscapes. One thing is sure: both artists aren’t bothered by traditional musical restraints, pushing the limits of genres, instruments and sound.
