Premiere: Yung Skrrt – Beggar

Atlanta, Georgia, USA-based Yung Skrrt just dropped a tasty new EP, hot off the heels of his recent feature in our publication’s culture-defining recommendations section. Striking while the iron’s hot, and who can blame him? The highly versatile vocalist, producer, audio engineer, visual artist, youth and urban culture ambassador and all round ‘cool man’ has let loose nothing but quality in the past year or so – from the essential Half Words mixtape, to a collaboration with production big boi Rustie, and a veritable buttload of top notch loosies in between and beyond. This EP, titled A Feeling, represents a change of pace musically, seeing him mining a slow-burning, melancholically-charged region of the bass-y, trap-tinged productions he tends to go in on. And it’s with similarly slow-burning, melancholically-charged joy with which we’re premiering the release’s second track, the Holly-produced ‘Beggar’. Listen below, shed tears wherever.
