How’s your weekend going?

Well, pretty lazy to be honest, hibernating I suppose.

What are your plans?

None really, I have a bit of work on, there are the mandatory afternoon beers with old mate Gene. I guess it’s Valentines day.

What do you do?

Too many things but nothing in particular, at the moment I’m mainly working as creative-producer-account-manager-guy for a thing called Roaring Fork and doing some carpentry work.

What brought you here?

It was a bit of a shotgun decision really, my girlfriend and I spent 2014 living and working in Iraq. We ended up packing things in pretty hastily, and found ourselves sitting in an apartment in Istanbul trying to figure out where we should go. Amsterdam seemed logical if not slightly paradoxical, and so here we are.

What are you listening to?

Right now, a great Spacemen 3 album called The Perfect Prescription, otherwise at the moment it’s quite a lot of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Bill Callahan and I’m chipping my way through Sun Ra’s discography.

What’s your favorite record ever?

That changes quite a lot. Ever is too absolute. For now it’s Aufheben by BJM, though 16 years ago it was The Fat of the Land by The Prodigy. Who knows what is next.

Who’s your favorite person right now?

My mum.

What makes you uncomfortable?

Being the centre of attention.

Tell me about the most recent coolest show?

Watching Anton Newcombe and Tess Parks at Paradiso in the summer time was brilliant. A really cool mixture of classic BJM and some interesting vocals. We went and smoked a cigarette and Anton was with us in the smoking room afterwards, my friend Maija and I were in awe of that, we got all clammy.

What are you looking forward to?

Eating cheese on toast. I’m going to put gherkins on it and it’s going to be great.
