Tess Parks & Anton Newcombe – Cocaine Cat

I Declare Nothing was released early last year in Berlin, a cherub resulting from the collaboration between Tess Parks and Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre . Since then, the two have been upbringing the beautiful infant to its maturity. ‘Cocaine Cat’ is a small sample of the scorching album; the flawless combination of Newcombe’s languid and dusky melodies beneath Parks’ husky vocals is solid throughout the album. I Declare Nothing was released on Newcombe’s A Recordings on 29 June. Better late than never, here’s a silver-tongued taste. The pair are playing at Paradiso, Amsterdam on 23 July.
