Briana Marela + Amber Arcades

Briana Marela is the product of a multicultural background including bits of Peru, England, France, Scotland and Finland, raised in Washington and currently based in Seattle. To add a little more into the mix, she traveled to Reykjavik to record her latest album All Around Us, out on 21 August via Jagjaguwar Records. The single track release Surrender is a blissful taste of what can be expected from the rest of the album. Whether the magical land of Iceland played any part in it or not, Marela’s voice is like an oceanic creature emerging from the depths of hot springs. To make this evening more special, Briana’s set marks the first time we’ll be at the iconic Roode Bioscoop on the Haarlemmerplein. Supporting the night will be Amber Arcades, the solo project of the Utrecht-based Annelotte de Graaf.
