During the fourth edition Tell Me More presents three acts: composer, Nader Adabnejad, audiovisual musician and sonic researcher Tatiana Rosa, electronic vocal researcher sara plusplus.
As always come and and ask the artists and questions, ask them to tell you more about their work or just come have a drink, have a wiggle, and enjoy the shows.
sara plusplus is the electronic and digital recording artist alias of Sara Campos, a performer, improviser, researcher, organizer and musician based in Amsterdam. She is interested in using her voice, particularly in the amplitudes between speech and music, such as pitch, melodic intonation and repetition to explore the space between spoken word and song.
Her methods incorporate pastiche, cut-up techniques and uses of pop-music structures such as punch lines; melody hooks and sultry vocals, which occasionally unfold in discordant compositions and loose references of nostalgic beats.
Her materials are electronics, digital software, playback, voice, text and other sound objects, drawing inspirations from ASMR and sci-fi music scores. She is a member of the improvisation trio Nancy Phantom, and founder and organizer of the weekly live experimental music series Weather Report.
Tatiana Rosa is an audiovisual with an artistic practice revolving around the empowering force of sound as an agency by utilising sonification processes and magnifying intersections between the sonic and non-sonic.
Her work aims to subvert traditional data experiences and disrupt conventional uses of technology, in order to foster meaningful interactions, and address social inequalities through innovative art forms. She integrates interactive systems, multimedia and digital tools, focusing on both the literal and intuitive interpretation of data. By overlapping sound with other media, she creates immersive and alternative asynchronous and/or synesthetic experiences that engage audiences on multiple sensory levels.
During this addition of Tell Me More, Rosa presents Intros to Nowhere. Created during a residency at EMS Stockholm with Buchla 100, 200, and Serge systems, this album is an exploration of surrender, collaboration with analog machines, and the poetics of unresolved time. Rooted in the concept of Technological Sympoiesis, this performance invites you into a fragile sound world – where breath is held, resolution is withheld, and descent becomes a form of transformation.
Nader Adabnejad is a composer, violinist, audio engineer and videographer from Iran. He believes that art is the only way the world might heal itself. One can find peace and unity within oneself through the practice and learning of art, which then extends to the family, the society, and eventually the world. This philosophy underlies all his creative work.
Active as a performer & composer, Nader works with Sachit Ajmani in the duo OWRSI. Together they develop their practice in free improvisation and electro-acoustic music composition; a central objective is interdisciplinary collaboration with other artists.
