Liturgy + Deli Girls

6 October - OT301, Amsterdam
20.00 - €15 - Free for members

On the 6th of October we present a hard-hitting double bill: avant-garde black metal by Liturgy and synth-punk by Deli Girl.

Liturgy is the project by Ravenna Hunt-Hendrix, combining transcendental black metal, classical music, IDM, trap and sacred ritual – as aptly displayed on Liturgy’s latest albums H.A.Q.Q. and Origin of the Alimonies. The project found its genesis back in 2005, in the context of Brooklyn’s DIY scene. Today, Liturgy has cultivated into a medium for genre innovation, theology and intense live performance. Deli Girls‘ synth-punk and digital-hardcore swing right at you – spiked and electrified. A sucker-punch of rage, that’s purgative, pounding, catchy and beautiful. Feels a bit like dancing in a map of Quake III Arena.

For Issue 2 of Sprout, we had a conversation with Ravenna about the theme of ‘sustain’, her philosophy system and the stride towards Heaven. Learn more about Ravenna and Liturgy by reading the interview here.

Tickets are free for Subbacultcha members and €15,- for non-members. Members, please make a reservation by sending an email to mailinglist@subbacultcha.nl with ‘Liturgy’ in the subject line + your name in the email. Tickets can be purchased here. We update the RSVP list every Wednesday.
