Ichiko Aoba

Ichiko Aoba’s music cultivates in her dreams. The most recent fruit of which is Windswept Adan – a chamber-folk record that chronicles the story of a young girl sent to the island of Adan in the hope of preserving the bloodline of her family. “The island has no words, but instead, the inhabitants exchanged shells.” Windswept Adan, which is released on Aoba’s own label Hermine, is a world to be lost within. In all its serenity and tranquility; Aoba’s songful dreams astound, overflow, and rush straight to the heart.
