music + performance

er is geen ritme, er is regen

27 January - Zaal 3, The Hague
20.30 - €5-€16.50

er is geen ritme, er is regen is a performance that mixes sound art, theatre and music, in which Boris de Klerk slowly disconnects his voice from his body and gradually lets it merge with the echoes of the space, to eventually be drowned out by rain and silence.

After the performance, The Hague musicians Kim David Bots and Lyckle de Jong will play a short set of half an hour. A slow and rhythmic exploration of silence, time, speech patterns and the voice. A single, brief reflection on how the passing of the day presents itself to the senses is spoken aloud; resonates through the space: slowly and carefully. Over and over again the same lines are heard again and again, but they change again and again, evoke tones, sound a little slower, double, disappear, wash away.
