Dame Area

Thunderous Dame Area brings their combination of industrial beats, post-punk, EBM and minimal synths to Patronaat on Tuesday 27 May.

Known for shows at festivals such as Atonal, Dour, Grauzone and Eurosonic, and performances in iconic clubs such as Berghain and Tresor, Dame Area guarantees an eclectic live show. With elements of post-punk, EBM and avant-garde rock, they create music that will delight lovers of innovative electronic music with a heavy undertone.

Their latest album Toda la verdad sobre Dame Area, released via Mannequin Records, shows how they incorporate influences from artists such as Einstürzende Neubauten, Suicide and Esplendor Geométrico into a contemporary sound. What sets Dame Area apart from other bands in the industrial scene is their sense of dynamics. They have more in common with the experimental rock of Sonic Youth than with typical electronic projects, while their structures are reminiscent of the avant-garde innovations of Coil.
