It's officially spring, let the Lente begin 🌸
We are always in for a good story and that’s why we’re hooking you up with tickets to go experience Salam– an interdisciplinary performance by Theatre Company NNT, dance company Club Guy & Roni and orchestra Asko|Schönberg.
The production promises to tell the deeply familiar story of Abraham and his two sons Isaac and Ishmael through the lens of contemporary culture with a touch of humor and modern energy. And in our times, when cultures and religions are not in dialogue but rather speak about and past each other, this performance stands out for its ambition to bridge the outdated yet, unfortunately, still current gap between Christianity and Islam, ‘West’ and ‘East’. Written by Moroccan-Flemish author Fikry El Azzouzi and infused with modern folk music by young composers, Salam is the re-conceptualized human story of love and pain that comes in the right place at the right time.
