Swiss-born, New York-based Ugo Rondinone is a mixed-media artist who gained worldwide attention in the 90s with his discursive and diverse installations. His solo exhibitions have passed from the Kunsthalle in Vienna to Museo de Art Contemporaneo in Leon, and the Sculpture Center in New York, to name a few.
From 13 February until 29 May, the work of Ugo Rondinone will be exhibited at Rotterdam’s wonderful Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. The exhibition, named Vocabulary of Solitude, brings together new as well as already existing pieces in an extensive installation that reveals a range of angles of existence. Vocabulary of Solitude marks Ugo Rondinone’s first solo exhibition in the Netherlands.
