Gwenno + Pascale Project

After giving up her position as front-woman of the British indie pop girl group The Pipettes, Gwenno Saunders directed her attention toward her solo project, Gwenno. Ensuing time spent touring as a synth player with the likes of Pnau and Elton John, Welsh label Peski released Gwenno’s debut solo Y Dydd Olaf (translating as The Last Day) in 2014, which was reissued by Heavenly Recordings last year. Gwenno’s channeling of enchanting electro-pop in Welsh with the addition of a track sang in the protected language of Cornish translates as a lucid, effortless delight. Gwenno will be corking our very own, very wonderful new office venue. Montréal artist Pascale Mercier alias Pascale Project will support the night with a take on pop/lounge/house/electronic jazz.
