Soft Metals’ Ian Hicks and Patricia Hall met at a party and bonded instantly over their shared love for ’70s and ’80s synth music. After a period of sharing tracks between their native Portland and San Francisco, they began making music together, which as the story goes also enveloped a burgeoning relationship. After a four-year-strong musical and romantic partnership, Ian and Patricia share with us a list of tracks they would have shared immediately if they had met for the first time today.
