WASTE + support: hoofs

26 August - Cinetol, Amsterdam
20:00 - € 15.00-€ 17.00

WASTE balances between experimental noise and dark (post-)punk, resulting in a powerful cocktail of manic vocal outbursts, pounding drums, and wailing guitars. An absolute must-see live act: their shows burst with chaotic energy, literally tear down the stage, and drag the audience into heavy mosh pits. After the debut EP Floating Head (2022) and the singles Urges and Tantrums (2024), WASTE returned in March 2026 with their debut album SCREAM UNTIL IT’S BEAUTIFUL .

Recorded by Tim De Gieter (Amenra, Doodseskader) at Much Luv Studio, SCREAM UNTIL IT’S BEAUTIFUL is loud, danceable, and uncompromising. Punk and noise still form the core of WASTE’s explosive sound, while genres blur and experimentation takes over. Themes such as mental health, self-acceptance, and societal pressure form the backbone of the album, laced with a sharp layer of irony. It is a raw soundtrack for anyone who has ever felt lost in the illusion of a perfect world, an ode to underdogs, outsiders, failure, and imperfection. Turn up the music. Scream along. Dance while the world burns.

HOOFS

With a blistering combination of punk, noise, and post-punk, HOOFS was described by 3voor12 as “not for wimps.” But nothing could be further from the truth. The energetic live shows are about celebrating life and embracing community. An environment where you can be yourself, and it doesn’t matter if that is happy, angry, energetic, introverted, or whatever else. ‘Wimps,’ welcome to the gritty bass lines, pounding drums, cutting guitars, and inescapable vocals.

HOOFS has previously played venues such as Melkweg, Patronaat, and Vera, and performed 17 shows (15 stagedives) with Popronde (2023). She has supported bands like Gurriers, DITZ, Marathon, Wodan Boys, and Dyatlov. With three EPs under her belt (according to Nevermind The Hype, the best of 2023, 2024, and 2025), HOOFS demonstrates that she belongs in the Dutch punk scene. For fans of Ditz, Idles, Metz, Chalk, and Gilla Band.‍
