Quade + noiré

4 April - Dokhuis Gallery, Amsterdam
20:00 - €12

Bristol-based band, Quade, will be gracing Dokhuis Gallery on April 4th!

Their latest album, Nacre, is the culmination of three years of work from the band, the blueprints of their songwriting and sound firmly established in the sprawling, haunting and yet hopeful record. Traipsing between gothic expansiveness and cosmic psychedelia, the record cannot be pinned down into one recognisable place. By the album’s close, the listener may be left wondering whether it was all a memory or a dream.

(Ghenwa) Noiré is a multimedia installation practitioner and sound-performer based between Beirut and Amsterdam. She “explores oral history, gossip, and nonverbal cues in her performances, accompanied by music, to reveal social and domestic tensions. Investigating semantic satiation, she delves into how daily expressions lose meaning through repetition in Lebanese society.” Hear her atmospheric sonic explorations through synths and electronic bouzouki before Quade on April 4th at Dokhuis Gallery.
