Jakuzi, the latest offspring of vibrant Turkish underground music scene, is a four-piece band incorporating dream pop and dark wave influences into their sound. “Think David Bowie having a fever dream in Turkey, Depeche Mode stranded at the Bosporus”. Their 2017 debut album ‘Fantezi Müzik’ with its new wave weirdness and romance, offers an escape from the harsh reality. Touching upon issues such as love, anger and alienation, their tracks become easily relatable not only for the Turkish speaking audience.
