Film: Maggie’s Plan

Written and directed by Rebecca Miller, daughter of acclaimed playwright Arthur Miller and photographer Inge Morath, Maggie’s Plan is the latest indie to breathe new life into the well-trodden path of the romantic comedy. Featuring everyone’s favourite Brooklynite, Greta Gerwig, we follow the eponymous Maggie and her subsequent tribulations when she falls in love with John and derails his marriage to his unhinged wife, Georgette.  It’s a distinctively screwball narrative that distinguishes itself from the pack with a undeniably charming cast of characters and a healthy dose of quick-witted zingers.
