Content Care: Kakawin

11 April - murmur, Amsterdam
18:00 - €8

Following a captivating January edition, the Content Care team is poised to return on April 11th to murmur for an intimate workshop, followed by an evening with immersive performances. Embracing themes of collaboration and situatedness, artists will showcase their practices in sound exploration.

Workshop
The workshop will focus on listening and creating spaces for communication, reflecting upon Argentinian philosopher Maria Lugones’ work on Playfulness and Complex Communication. Returning to and departing from Content Care’s first workshop in Book Making in 2022, this iteration will account for the insights gained within collaborative practices and how creativity can be a dependent phenomena. The session will delve into the interconnected nature of creativity, emphasizing its reliance on shared experiences and interactions.

Live performances
After the workshop, two4.41139, Paulius, and Qbae / KB will perform. two4.41139 is a sound and media artist, writer and curator. Their work develops sensory sound installations and non-linear narratives. “Dormant diagrams, anecdotal anesthesia, the embryonic desire.” Paulius, who’s a resident of Radio Vilnius, will showcase his “more atmospheric side” at murmur, with a selection of left-field folk, avant-garde pop and ambient. Qbae / KB consists of guitarist Gabriel de Oliveira, drummer Niels Luteijn & South African bassist Zenzele Mthembu-Salter. “An exploration of sound through their collaborative practices, playing with the assumptions of what goes and what doesn’t.”
