Camille Picquot's exquisite solo exhibition is on view at De Brakke Grond from March 10.
On 9 March De Brakke Grond will open its doors for the new exhibition: Camille Picquot. The young artist uses photography and video as a medium of presenting a fictional story which appears to the viewer as both attractive and uncomfortable. The exhibition showcases two of the artist’s photography series, Domestic Flight and Total Ground along with her video works.
On the day of the opening, Lieneke Hulshof – Mister Motley editor-in-chief, will present Picquot’s work through an alternative gaze as a part of the Curieuze Club programme. The tour will be in Dutch. Throughout the evening, DJ and feminist Helena Niet Zo Braeff aka Hellie Berry will fill the space with her music together with her partner behind the decks, Sophia.
The opening taking place 9 March 5pm – 8pm, precedes the exhibition Camille Picquot, on view from 10 March to 12 May.
