We are an independent, Amsterdam-based music and art platform devoted to emerging artists.

Started in 2005 as a means of organizing shows for ourselves and our friends, we soon branched out to setting up events with bands we love, local and from across the pond. We’ve come a long way since then. Today we curate over a dozen monthly events, make an unruly quarterly magazine, host a bi-weekly Red Light Radio show and much more.

Turning a new leaf in January 2016, we moved to Amsterdam’s latest hotspot De School. Besides boasting the club that follows the legacy of Trouw and Club 11, De School has two venue spaces – the Muzieklokaal and s105 – that we’ve taken charge of. Additionally, we curate shows in a wide range of venues in Amsterdam and Rotterdam: besides our homebase, we host shows in former squats like OT301 and OCCII, to the more established Melkweg and Rotown, from homey De Nieuwe Anita to avant-gardist WORM.

To promote the emerging acts we book and admire, we drop our unconventional broadsheet newspaper The Void every two months. Released in print and online, The Void features compelling written content and artistic photography that we commission from our international network of writers and photographers.

But we wouldn’t be anywhere without our members, a group of curious people who are keen on discovering and supporting new music. They show up at shows, read our publications, talk music with us and have first hand access to everything we do for a monthly fee of €9. Read more about the membership and check out our terms and conditions.
