Exhibition: Gerda Postma

17 August

In August we will host a special multi disciplinary project in our exhibition space. ‘Aura’ – By artist Gerda Postma. Postma is an Amsterdam based artist using different media varying from projections to drawings, clothing and hair sculptures. In search of the seemingly lost link between humans and nature, Postma created an estranging installation that refers to Walter Benjamin’s theory of the disappearance of ‘the aura’ in modern life. Hand-painted clothing, accessories and drawings are shown alongside a giant sculpture that starts ‘breathing’ when it’s being approached. Michiel Klein, (Eklin / Mike Koldin) contributes to the project with an improvisational sound piece.
