Powerhouses Una and Bea join forces and end their VERVERS residency in style with a stormy night! Just the like the weather, it is going to be windy, loud and unpredictable. When there’s a storm outside with magnitude 8 on Beaufort Scale it is very difficult to move. You move in the direction of the wind. Resistance is useless, the wind determines your journey. On October 15, WINDKRACHT 8 brings music, performance and books of all sizes. See you there!!

‍Lady Overdrive‍

Born from her grandmother’s demons, Lady Overdrive is the new alter ego of artist and musician Una Jongenelis (My Purse, Yodel Queen), developed as part of the VERVERS residency at Cinetol. Lady Overdrive sings about the origins of her grandmother’s monsters and her own monsters in the present.

BeaBop

Emerging from Amsterdam’s thriving improvised music scene, BeaBop is a new quartet in which noise, jazz, punk, improvisation, dissociation, hunger, and playfulness come together in an exciting way. Four adventurous musicians from the local and international scene make up the project: vocalist Beatrice Sberna, bassist Omer Brandt, guitarist Tina Czernik, and drummer Aviv Maya. The project is rooted in a community of artists who constantly cross paths through a wide range of bands and collaborations.

HURTQUAKERS
Mysterious duo emerges from Amsterdam hell to open the evening with an explosive set. No one knows who these scoundrels are. Rumor has it that previous shows got out of hand and were so loud and uncomfortable that the audience was overwhelmed by collective madness. People in the audience started screaming in unknown languages. Witnesses reported people walking backward. This duo will change the future of the Amsterdam underground music industry. You want to see this before they die. HURTQUAKERS gives you a new enemy, for those who love to hate.

Ververs‍

This event takes place as part of VERVERS, Cinetol’s interdisciplinary residency. During these final shows, the residents present the act and performance they have worked on throughout the residency program.
