Sounds with a View – Lente Kabinet

Words and images by Arif Malawi

Anxiously awaiting this weekend’s Lente Kabinet and eager to avoid getting trapped in genre mumbo jumbo, we decided to take a rather unorthodox approach to introducing you to a few of the festival’s finest. Instead of wordy descriptors, we present you our inaugural Sounds with a View, a window into an artist’s trademark sound. Taking a visual representation of a single Young Marco, Dollkraut, Pender Street Steppers, Palms Trax and Barnt track, we reveal each artist’s approach to producing. Note how the images not only represent the composition chronologically, but also reflect the atmosphere of the music. Let your eyes wander below and see you at Het Twiske on Saturday.
