We wouldn’t dare admit it, but Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie” was a tune when it first hit MTV a decade ago. And, full disclosure, those hips definitely did not lie. Channelling his inner Latina, Venezuelan experimentalist Arca takes on Shakira’s stunner and drags it through the maelstrom of deconstructed electronic noise that has become his signature of late. Arca shakes his own hips with visual partner Jesse Kanda at OT301 tomorrow.
