Playlist

Eagulls

In this month’s issue we get deep into déjà vu. It’s wonderfully weird how we can get back to our past or a certain moment just by clicking the right button. George Mitchel from punk army Eagulls has created this playlist to let us know which songs throw him down memory lane as soon as they start playing. Enjoy.

1. The Velvet Underground – Heroin

Permanently prompts memories of writing the first song Eagulls made as this song ‘heroin’ has such a similar intro to our song ‘Council Flat Blues’.

2. The Cramps – Sunglasses After Dark

Every time I hear this song I think about times wearing my sunglasses after dark and every time I wear my sunglasses after dark I think of this song.

7. Underworld – Born Slippy

I recall my mum vacuuming the house to thumping dance beats when I was little. This one always stands out spawning the most memories.

8. Slayer – Angel Of Death

Back when I was 15 years old at a ridiculous house party that ended up with nothing left intact. Everything in that house got smashed, even the inside doors were ripped off. We used to name this song “The Partysmasher”.
