Art // InterviewAfter the Last Sky cultivates questions about how to represent and perceive violence in the image.
Gracing the cover of the Idealism issue – and our brand new totebag – is this month’s featured artist Louis Reith and his serene world of mountain landscapes and abstracted collages. Currently based in Amsterdam, graphic designer and artist Louis Reith approaches a simple graphic theme before transforming it into his collages, paintings, sculptures and even quilts. Using a variety of techniques, the ultra-graphic competes with the natural in his pieces, published and exhibited all over the world. His work is at the same time highly structured and organic; well considered and yet revealing a sort mysterious order which cannot quite be grasped.
