Unknown Brood

During the last years of his life, Herman Brood made footage of himself that no one’s ever seen, until Unknown Brood, where one of our Dutch heroes shows himself in a way that gives a new layer of humanity to his story. Accompanied by new documentary scenes and interviews, archive material and Brood’s music, Unknown Brood forms the final story of the rock ‘n roll legend. Family and band members tell us what he was really like as a person, while colleagues and other band members such as Henny Vrienten (Doe Maar), Daniel Lohues (Skik), Black Francis (Pixies) and Henk-Jan Smits let us understand more about his music.

The documentary will be screened in Dutch.
