As the sun sets in the East, drop by Timorplein for our first Open Air Theater. La Playa D.C, Juan Andrés Arango’s directorial debut, captures the vibrant chaos of one of Latin America’s most reknowned capitals, Bogotá. Tracing the steps of Tomas, a young Afro-Colombian migrant whose fled his home in the country’s violent and war-torn Pacific Coast, La Playa D.C depicts the wayward struggles for survival and identity on the city’s streets.
