In:Resonance [full]

21 February - De Thomas, Amsterdam
doors 20:00, show 20:30 - 12,50€

In:Resonance is a spatial sound installation exploring resonance, acoustics, and the interplay between architecture and sonic perception. Sixteen unique speaker sculptures—a network of resonating tubes suspended throughout the church space—form an evolving ecosystem of sound. These tubes act as carriers, reshaping frequencies and being thrown up against the ceiling, turning the architecture of the church itself into an instrument.

At In:Resonance In:Concert, the sound installation in activated by three concerts. Join us for an evening where electronic textures, acoustic interventions, and generative soundscapes fill the space. The concert explores the architecture through tensions between beauty, noise and silence, amplifying the dialogue between the built environment and the ephemeral nature of sound. This event marks the official activation of the installation, inviting the audience to experience sound as a sculptural, architectural and embodied phenomenon—where resonance reveals the invisible forces that shape our perception of space.

Tegnander and Aina Font

Andreas Tegnander is a composer and sound artist. In his work, he explores ideas about the perception of sound, bringing together scientific, technological and philosophical perspectives to address the question: “What can be observed?” His music productions consist of heavily worked acoustic instruments, synthesis and voice. He is accompanied by saxophonist Aina Font.

Max Frimout

Max Frimout is a musician from Eindhoven, the Netherlands, with a background in technical physics. His methods of music production include the use of analog modular synthesis, field recordings, algorithmic composition and digital processing of acoustic instruments. During In:Resonance, he will explore live textures and explore the system with his modular synthesizer environment.
