Ilyas Ahmed has unfortunately been forced to cancel his European tour and won’t be able to perform on this date. We’re working hard to lineup a make up date in early 2016.
Following a three year period of silence the Pakistani-born, Portland-raised Ilyas Ahmed reappeared with a record release, written and recorded entirely on electric and 12-string guitars. Sweeping through bohemian sonic arrangements, Ahmed blends delicacy with simple sorrow that creates a soulful and hazy ambiance. Since the self-released debut Between Two Skies, Ahmed has stacked up a collection of releases, independently and on various labels, the latest of which I Am All Your Own was released in March on Immune Recordings. Deep-rooted in the US underground scene, the solo project of Marcia Bassi aka Zaïmph builds ominous walls of sound in layers, while the Lisbon duo Manuel Mota & Margarida Garcia improvise on electric bass and guitar.
