Gabrielle Herbst’s voice is probably the closest you’ll ever come to hearing a siren. Not those you hear at noon, every first monday of the month, but the ones from ancient Greece. It’s like her voice is magnetic, pulling you closer with an invisible force field. The classically trained vocalist has already written and performed her own opera, and her first album under the name GABI is being released in Software Recordings on April 7th. It features production by none other than Daniel Lopatin, which promises the kind of music that breaks hearts and sinks ships.
