Clara Kimera is an artist whose universe is as intriguing as it is enchanting. If her angelic face looks familiar to you, that is because Clara first made a name for herself as part of the electropop duo Agar Agar, which she founded with Amande during their studies at the École nationale supérieure d’arts de Cergy. After the release of their second album, Player Non Player, last year, Clara felt the need to reinvent herself and affirm her solo identity. Under the evocative name Clara Kimera, a nod to the manga Hunter x Hunter and the concept of the chimera, she is embarking on this new creative chapter.
Her musical aesthetic, both DIY and cinematic, draws from a wide range of influences, from shoegaze to underground rap. Clara transcends genre boundaries and constantly seeks new ways to express herself, where every sound feels like a distant echo from a bygone era when guitars sighed.
In September 2024, Clara Kimera released her first solo single, King Jester, followed by Slenderman and Strangers on Screen, before unveiling her debut EP, Dial 8, on January 31, 2025. This cathartic and enchanting project offers a sensory dive into Clara Kimera’s esoteric world. By blending organic sounds with glitchy textures, Clara creates a hybrid musical universe, accompanied by striking visuals.
Subject Sue is a producer and performer who creates dystopian nightclub music at the intersection of dark synthwave and ethereal techno. Her sound is a fever dream of pulsating synthesisers, layered soundscapes, and vocal harmonies. Inspired by queer club culture, forgotten archives from the 1930s–1960s, and the fragile boundary between ecstasy and alienation, she creates sonic landscapes that immerse you in a cinematic, nocturnal haze.
