Chicago-based Robert “Bobby” Conn is a musician, misfit, culture warrior and bullshitter. His DIY approach and one-of-a-kind mix of classic pop influences, arty experimentalism, idiosyncratic lyrics, and wild stylistic left turns is very unique. Like colleagues and weirdo icons Ariel Pink and R. Stevie Moore, Bobby Conn’s style has probably confused as many as it has enlightened. One thing’s certain, his performance never bored anyone.
