Auf + Crowds

Last minute double bill at WORM, Rotterdam featuring a trio of gritty local noise pop upstarts in the form of CROWDS and a Berlin duo steeped in noise rock folklore.

Rolling in from Germany for their first headlining show, Berlin duo AUF are hardly strangers to the limelight. Comprised of singer and guitarist Anne Rolfs, who fronted legendary alt rockers Wuhling in the 90s, and drummer Mathias Brendel, the pair are satiated in noise rock folklore. The current formation is barely in its infancy, but can already count Steve Albini and Shellac among their biggest fans. Supporting the duo on their headlining debut are local noise pop gems CROWDS. Like AUF, CROWDS have needed little time to make a name for themselves, shoegazing their gritty noise pop to mainstages around the country on the back of a two-song demo.
