Angry, noise, electronic: the four guys from Pop 1280 – whose name was taken from Jim Thompson’s crime novel – sound like a violent echo of a Birthday Party and Liars concert. Their second album, Imps of Perversion, was released on the excellent Sacred Bones Records last year. Pretty much along the same lines, Falling Man and Udarnik get things started.
