Temples

Melkweg welcomes Britain’s neo-psychedelic Temples.

Temples achieved global success in 2012, a time when an impressive wave of neo-psychedelic bands was flourishing in the charts and on the festival circuit. With “Shelter Song” and their subsequent debut album *Sun Structures*, the band drew upon the nostalgic melodies and hypnotic, non-Western grooves embraced in the 1960s. Later records featured layered synth work (*Volcano*, 2015), a reinvention of the 1970s sound (*Hot Motion*, 2019), and utopian productions incorporating the creative input of Sean Lennon (*Exotico*, 2023).

This summer sees the release of their fifth album, on which the band takes a different musical direction.
