For over ten years Jamie Stewart has been releasing his demons through his pop, noise rock, ambient and electro outfit Xiu Xiu. Stumbling across a weird Japanese film proved to spark enough inspiration for the new release, Angel Guts: Red Classroom. Films are a known muse for Stewart, who took his band name from a Nineties film in which a Chinese teenage girl learns how to herd horses from a Tibetan saddle tramp. White Hinterland will guarantee a hint of atmospheric calmness.
