RAFI is committed to carefully highlighting and bringing together the various cultural and historical aspects of Kurdish identity in the shared space of Paradiso THT.
The program includes Kurdish food, films (and filmmakers), academics, writers, and local artists such as Mariwan Kanie, Naaz, Rizgar Laçin, Agrí Îbrahim, Beri Shalmasi, Berivan Cemal, DJ Shahmaran and Sarkawt Hamad. Together with them, RAFI offer a glimpse into how the diaspora in Amsterdam shares their culture within a local context as well as share current updates on the struggle there. In the LibRAFI, RAFI has curated a collection of texts and books that explore the depth and diversity of Kurdish history. LibRAFI offers you the opportunity to take something home so that you can delve deeper into the themes covered during the event at home. Together, we will wrap up the evening with a warm Kurdish meal to unwind and reflect together.
Tickets are free but there will be options to donate at the event.
