About Subbacultcha:
Subbacultcha is an Amsterdam based music platform devoted to emerging artists and a curious audience. Subbacultcha’s program consists of self-produced concerts and partner events. We curate events in a wide range of venues in Amsterdam, for instance in OT301, Dokzaal, Cinetol, Muziekgebouw and Garage Noord. Partners we work with a lot are Cinetol, Bimhuis, independent organisers, FIBER Festival, Sonic Acts, Rewire, Melkweg, Filmtheater De Uitkijk, murmur and Dour Festival. At the core of our platform lies the Subbacultcha membership. The membership helps us to create, sustain and grow a sustainable community and infrastructure for all of this to thrive. The membership helps us to invest into a more progressive and inclusive field of recreation and art. For €10 a month, members get free access to our program.

Supervision:
Do you want to get some hands-on experience in the cultural field? Are you working on a project for your studies? Do you want to use your Subbacultcha internship as a case study or research opportunity? At the start of your internship we can formulate learning objectives and research opportunities! Some of the skills the Subbacultcha team can guide you through are how to communicate with a specific audience for a cultural platform, planning and scheduling different workloads and writing about music, events and (sound-)art.

Something for you?
Please send a 1) motivation letter, 2) CV + 3) a writing sample
to anni@subbacultcha.nl by 10 May 23.59 CET. The writing sample should be a paragraph about a band/artist of your choice, not unlike the write-ups in the Subbacultcha website. We hope to hear from you.

The interviews will take place mid-May.
