Inga Copeland (Lolina)

Alina Astrova is now settled on the alias Lolina (although we don’t know for how long…) after being known as Hype Williams (with Dean Blunt), Inga Copeland, and more recently just as Copeland. Her productions have developed a distinct aesthetic: difficult, discordant, melodic and sultry. Her latest self-released album Live In Paris runs parallel to Blunt even though they’ve worked independently for over 4 years; tackling issues such as hostility, immigration and social inequality in London. That might sound hard to digest but her hazy vocals consume her words into her plodding melodies to create something uniquely beautiful.
