Now Streaming ‘Luv’ Off Antwon’s New EP

In advance of his show on 22 May at Melkweg Theater, the San Jose native showcases his schoolboy wit and manic rhythms on his new EP Double Ecstasy, available since 1 April via Anticon. Antwon’s brooding beats make the comedown narrative of artists like The Weeknd sound like Usher, as he touches on his favourite themes, being, according to Anticon “sex, successfully navigating clubs, the dri-fit shirt you can’t quite fit into, and more sex.” His tracks range from the sublime to the ridiculous, but they’re also experimental, sweet, and just plain funny.
