Liturgy – Quetzalcoatl

“Quetzalcoatl” is a track from The Ark Work released via Thrill Jockey in March this year, steering away from black metal and exploring more experimental  edges around the genre. The five minute video’s a trance experience, you’ll find yourself staring into the abyss of what appears like the mythological feathered serpents caught in purgatory. It’s hard to tell whether we’re looking at the hopeful light from heaven or an abyss leading to hell. Maybe it’s that mystery and the low toned mantra-like vocals that are so captivating. We may never solve the mystery, but we can go see Liturgy 15 June at OCCII, Amsterdam.
