This London-born, Berlin-based duo are named after the American film maker best known for directing rap music videos, though given their ex- tremely lo-fi home recordings and penchant for irony-laden hip-hop and ‘80s references, they may have been more inspired by his feature film debut Belly, a nihilistic and sloppy mess of a film starring rappers Nas and DMX.
