NYC’s Wierd Records has played a key role in the coldwave revival, spawning a scene made up of several bands (re)exploring the dark recesses of post-punk and minimal electronica. Long-time Wierd-os Led Er Est have carved out a relatively poppy niche for themselves within the scene, and though many more amateurish bands have since dropped in on their coldwave, for this sonic session they’re at the top of the line-up.
