White Fence

LA’s Tim Presley is a busy little bee. Besides playing with space rockers Darker My Love and backing up The Strange Boys and The Fall, he also transforms his neural nectar into sweet psychedelic honey via his solo work as White Fence. In 2012 alone he’s released two White Fence albums (Family Perfume Volumes 1 and 2), whittled down from over 80 (!) tracks, plus his remarkable collaboration with Ty Segall, Hair. While his extremely lo-fi home recordings are weird and warped in a stoned and lonely sort of way, playing live brings out his inner hornet, with notched-up tempos and blistering guitar solos stinging your ears in a sonic attack more similar to his work with Segall. With Seattle’s 60s psych-rockers Night Beats and Ghent-Based Alpha Whale as support.
