Festival Magia

What’s a day-long block party without a top of the line after-party? After trotting Rotterdam’s Schiestraat from noon ’till nightfall, Magia Festival moves to the clubs BAR and Transport Rotterdam just around the corner to keep the party going until the early hours. Best part: it’s all free for Subbacultcha members.

The first edition of Festival Magia brings together icons and innovators of non-western music, turning Rotterdam’s Schiestraat into a free festival zone. Expect everything from the exotic electronic dance music of Bruxas to Los Angeles-based label Awesome Tapes from Africa, breeding grooves from musical subcultures from countless African regions. Yes it sounds way too good to be true but it is what it is – free party for your pure enjoyment. When the night falls, the party moves to the surrounding clubs – BAR and Transport Rotterdam.
