Haar! at Centraal Museum Utrecht

Centraal Museum’s Haar! explores the way we adore (and abhor) our own hair, which features as the key material in these works from an array of international artists. Forming the basis of the installations to a striking and often creepy effect, Haar! offers an insight into how hair threads through art, sculpture and fashion.

Featuring not only jewellery constructed from human hair, but also separate photography from celebrated Dutch hairstylist Christiaan Houtenbos, Haar! has something for everyone. There is even the option to create your own drawing in the exhibition workshop using your hair, or hair made available by the museum (if that’s what you’re into).
