Five Songs

One of the many beauties of music lies in the fact that there is plenty of it to go around, it’ll never run out, and new music will always keep coming out. Starting with Juan Wauters tomorrow, we’ve got a busy week ahead with many shows coming up. Besides the Amsterdam shows going on next week, Incubate festival is starting on Monday in Tilburg throughout next week with a ridiculous amount of artists on the bill. Everyone’n invited to our day party at SOUNDS. But for now, here are some sounds from the office.

1. Molly Nilsson – Mountain Time

The Swedish-born Berlin-based princess of wistful dance-pop shared a video to a beautiful track from her forthcoming album Zenith, out on the 25th of this month on Dark Skies Association and Night School Records. After watching it, we’ve concluded that Molly Nilsson is the matchmaker when it comes to pairing melancholy with joy & festivity.

2. Dean Blunt – Lit Freestyle

Dean Blunt’s latest release is a perfect example of how dope the enigmatic Londoner is and why we love him – here’s a short freestyle from the Blunt as he stocks up on dope. Dean Blunt 4Ever.

3. Life Slim – IDM

Cyberculture in a sweet, sonic composition from London-based label PC Music.

4 . Helena Hauff – Spur

A newcomer in 2013, the Hamburg DJ balances a symbiosis of acid and dark shades of electro in sonic creations. A perfect shade of dark – can’t not move – the track is from the freshly released Discreet Desires via Werkdiscs / Ninja Tune. Going to Tilburg? Spot her among the extensive Incubate line-up.

5. Kurt Vile – Life Like This

Following a bit of silence after the much hyped Wakin on a Pretty Daze, Kurt Vile is back with his sixth studio album b’lieve i’m going deep down, which is about to released on Matador Records on September 25th. All Vile while nothing vile about it; watch him turn from real to a pleasant dreamlike animation.
