The messages are interrelated, as Montreal’s avant-pop transmits longing and passion in his latest release “Casablanca”. The ominous title of the latest album to be released 18 September on Arbutus Records is not to be mistaken for the spirit of the sound; if the rest of the album is anything like the lead track of Other Life, we can expect more sincere prolific pop.
